Knowell’s Lock & Safe, Inc. is parent company of The Safe Depot.com. We have been in business since 1978. Luther Knowell, founder of our company, proudly served in the United States Navy and, after he retired, went to work for another local locksmith for 7 years. He would remark, “It’s nice to be able to make a living doing what I consider to be a hobby.” He started Knowell’s Lock & Safe, Inc. out of the trunk of the family’s car. It wasn’t long before he started buying vans and hiring people (mostly family) to work with him. Today, we have 3 generations operating the family business.
Many years ago we realized that businesses aren’t the only ones needing safes because they aren’t the only ones being burglarized. Residences are just as vulnerable, if not more so.
Everyone needs the peace of mind to be able to leave and know that their valuables are as secure as possible. For this reason, we offer a wide variety of safes for your home, office and even your recreational vehicle. We also sell vault doors that will fit a standard 36″ door opening should you want to have an emergency security room/storm shelter in your home (available in-swinging or out-swinging).
